How we work with Skoda
Skoda shares control units and engines with Volkswagen: Bosch EDC17 on diesels, MED17 and Simos on the 1.4 and 1.8 TSI and 1.6 MPI petrols, so we know the platform well.
The peculiarities are the same as on other VAG cars, and we account for them: the dry-clutch DQ200 robot gearbox has a limited torque rating, on 1.4 and 1.8 TSI we watch the timing chain, and on TDI the EGR and particulate filter. First diagnostics and a backup of the original, and only then the calibration.
